Welcome to Ruby Magdalena Vineyards!

Grape Cluster

We are an intimate working vineyard and a truly boutique Washington Winery created by Marty and Ryan Johnson in the Rattlesnake Hills American Viticultural Area (AVA) near Zillah, Washington. All of our wines are made from estate grapes, including Tempranillo, Graciano and Garnacha Tinta (Grenache Noir) grapes as well as a very small amount of Orange Muscat for our Petirroja dessert wine.

Our focus is on Spanish varietal grapes and our estate vineyard features about 2,500 grape vines planted on approximately 1.5 acres (0.61 hectares). This modest size gives us the luxury of tending to the plants ourselves. All of the vineyard and winery operations are handled by the two of us with the exception of harvest when we gladly accept offers of help from our friends who wish to share in the rewarding experience. If you would like to be part of the team during this time, please give us a call or fill out the contact form, before or near mid-September.
